The letter M
Updating the OP, checking for registered names, spelling stuff, etc. Leading to all kinds of questions which could easily become digressions and keep me from making any progress at all.
Was Malkin Grey in the East or Atlantia when she got her Pelican? {I could go check Atlantia's split off date....]
Does Mairi still consider herself Eastern, and has she submitted that change of name yet?
Should I take Mahin out now that she resides in AEthelmearc?
Must concentrate. Want to finish three pages of the draft today. There are after all 103 pages in this edition.

Latest curiousity is a Northern one: Are Meara of Vieux Bourg and Meara of Havre des Glaces the same person? (likely enough)

I wasn't at the event, unfortunately, though I would have gone if I'd realized it was happening. One of the downsides of the east coast splintering into several kingdoms is that stuff happens to friends that you don't hear about in time.

Mairi declared herself a subject of AEthelmearc years ago. You may have to create a new precedent for handling that.

Exercise for the interested reader: Is she an Easterner or a Meridean?
Actually, I know the "answer"
(Anonymous) 2009-02-27 04:13 am (UTC)(link)In all other respects, there isn't any difference unless a local group's by-laws say so, and most don't. If you want to play, and work, and hold office at the local level, it's fine.
At that point, it's about the heart.
But then, I can say that--I'm not the precedence herald, and we all know what sticklers they can be. ;-)

I love those kinds of tangents, they make great stories. Like Steffan's new "Customs" yahoo group.

I do live in Aethlemaerc, but received all my awards in the East. Is the OP a reflection of Eastern History or is it a reflection of the current residents?
Do what is less work for you is my best advice. If something makes you nuts, fix it. If it pleases you, leave it as is.
edited because I can't talk about myself in 3rd person.
