This one is stretching even my l33t library skillz.

I want to obtain (purchase, borrow, Torrent) a copy of an obscure Canadian film from 1991. Besides emailing the production company to enquire, what other sources should I be searching? So far, I have not found evidence that it has been released on either VHS or DVD.

I would go directly to the production company. They might be able to provide you with a copy but if not they would know where you could get one.

OK, fingers crossed then. I've already emailed them.

mininova.com has pointers to many torrents, but you probably knew that. What's the movie?

All I could find were two short (less than two minutes, each) clips of it, posted on YouTube. They were both posted by the same person, who's profile indicates recent activity. Perhaps you could contact them and see if they're willing to share their source?

Potentially, http://www3.nfb.ca/index.php -- the National Film Board of Canada finances a lot of Canadian Content, they may have an archive.

You could also check your local library system. It's amazing what sort of stuff they accumulate. (Not sure how easy it would be to score something from the Harvard University collection but that could also be an avenue)

Siderea mentioned this to me. I could not find the film you seek using their search, but I have had good luck with Poker Industries (http://www.pokerindustries.com/). You might want to drop them a note. I have found them to be helpful, responsive and professional. Note that many of their films are non-US region coded. At any rate it might be worth emailing them.

I poked at their site for a bit, looking for some of my perennial "Why isn't this movie available ANYWHERE?" desires. No luck, but one bit of amusement. Under "Browse by Genre", the first 'genre', alphabetically, is:

"A detective searches for his lost love and his travels lead him to two women living in a secluded country villa. When they find him, barely conscious and bleeding, he doesn’t speak, so th"

Strangely, they have no movies that fit this genre. I would have expected at least one. Well, exactly one, really.
