A very funny thing landed in my inbox this evening. A fairly large (2600 sq ft) Garrison Colonial house with 2-car garage, family room with fireplace, 4 BRs, 2.5 BA, central air, deck, large master suite with jacuzzi and walk-in closet, and so forth. In Waltham. And I am proven right: the same house would be on a much smaller piece of land and cost $150K more in Waltham than in Framingham.

It sounds beautiful, except for the price tag.

$150k is almost an entire house in Minnesota. Or, in some buildings, two condos.

$150k would buy my house and the one next door, of course I live in the middle of no where, in Jerusalem it would not buy much.

Yeah, my mother's small Cape in Connecticut didn't sell for that. But in this case it's the *price difference*.

Nice to be proven right! Good for you.

After all the discussion, do keep us posted on the hunt!

Stuff like that helps re-establish parameters....

(I still think the Framinghim one sounded good!)

I think we're very close to "pulling the trigger" and bidding on the Framingham one.

Go for it! Especially if there are stables near by!
