Beyond the link is the ordered list of entrants for tomorrow's Crown Tournament. If you are on this list, it would be helpful if you take note of your own placement on the list. If you know who you're next to, forming the line will go faster. The funny number next to your name is a working number, for my use and other herald geeks - explanation available on request.

Yes, I imagine there is a non-zero chance that we will forego the procession if the weather is looming foul, but that will be at TRM's discretion in the morning.

The missing rank 11 would be people without a kingdom level award of any sort, but a baronial award?

And missing Rank 3 would be Viscounties.

Not a mysterious number at all.

If the number makes perfect sense to me, does that make me a geek?

Konrad is using Graf (at least as of his de-Coronation)

> Sir Seosamh Tadhg an Cruca O Maille

He uses Seosamh mac Donald an Cruca O Maille and is too damn lazy to fix the registration. ;-)

And of course i have to ask...

Would I be in Group 6 with the Grant-having CBs?

Only if you were fighting... It's the rank of the combatant, regardless of the rank of the consort.

That's why I'm asking. My new and inspiring consort-to-be way outranks me, but from what I understand, the EK has only tried going by consort rank a couple times.

While all the CBs on that list have grants, I think group 6 is all CBs, regardless of Grants. Group 7 is people without a baronage at all, and group 5 is people with a territorial baronage. As long as we're using integers for the groups, there's no place in the list for CBs without Grants, were they to be broken out.

But there's a "Baron" in Group 8. I can only assume he has it from a kingdom that doesn't confer grants with CBs. 7 is, I assume, holders of OHM's, and 6 is Court Barons w/ Grants (Based on the Baron back in 8), with 5 being Territorial Barons (which apparently is only the Sheriff of Servicetown this time)

Hmm, his is from the Midrealm.

You're right. The Baron in Group 8 doesn't have a Grant. Though his is from the Mid, it apparently could be Eastern, since Grants are optional with CBs, here. A bit of digging around finds this page which would seem to confirm your supposition, while also not exactly aligning with the posted list, either.

Interesting. Now I'm curious if there's an internal ranking within group 6, or if it's just "Who Got A Grant First". Which is funny, because Baron Wulfhere and I received ours on the same day, but I assume that he got his before me, as I do remember it was after sunset and also PDT :D

It's who got it first (if you had both gotten it from the same kingdom on the same day), or by seniority of kingdom so we don't have to fuss with timezones and "but our court ran longer," and suchlike.
So Wulfy's ahead of you because the East is older than Caid. And he's ahead of Gwynhwyfar Dinas Emrys because both were Birka court and his happened first.

(More geekiness: In the absence of firm timing within the kingdom, the Royal court is presumed to have been first, then Principality court if any.)
