My car seems to have a homing mechanism. As we were en route from tpau's bat mitzvah to the OES First Visitation, we passed a roadside sign for Simsbury Public Library Book Sale. Heh. We didn't stop for toooo long, because we couldn't be late for dinner.

My freshman roommate was from Simsbury, but I'd never been there until this Saturday. Very lovely.

I probably wouldn't have known your roommate, we moves there my senior year in HS and I think you were a year ahead of me.

You might have known my sister, though - I think she was at Wellesley the same time as you (Diane Baldwin, class of '79) but there's a fair number of people even in a small college so it's hard to know them all. She's been relatively active in the SE CT alumni association since then.

Nope, sorry, I didn't know Diane, because I got to Wellesley in 1980. (High school class of 80, Wellesley Class of '84)

*laughs* OK, now don't be insulted and take it that I though you were older than you are - I just forget that I'm as old as I am! I mean...didn't I just finish college a few years ago?

After a while, you sort of lose track, especially if you don't have any kids to use as a reference point. (You know, when you start sending them off to college, it's pretty obvious you've been around for a while, as some of my friends are finding out. My family had their kids late and me none at all so I don't have that touchstone.)
