Wouldn't you think if I emailed the headquarters of the gubernatorial candidate on Friday to request a lawn sign, that I'd either have a sign, or a return email about it, by now? I know my candidate holds a significant lead in the polls, but do they think he doesn't need more visible support?

During the 2004 campaign, I stopped off at John Kerry's campaign office in Boston to get a sign. I kind of expected they'd have a "help yourself" pile, but instead it took a staffer something like 5 minutes to find me one.

Yes, they were the ones I was so frustrated with. Especially with every other house on the block (save one, that was not signed) advertising Bush. You'd think every vote in a Republican county would be worth something...
