Dinner suggestions

It's that time of year again! My birthday and our wedding anniversary* both fall in the first half of July, and therefore we go out to "fancy" dinner twice. We have some favorite restaurants we return to again and again: Blue Ginger, the Blue Room, J's Restaurant at Nashoba Winery.

But knowing we have foodie friends, what restaurants are we missing out on? Please make recommendations.

I am a strong proponent of the Tuscan Grill on Moody street. Not incredibly fancy, but very, very good food. The seats at the bar are fun as they look into the kitchen and you get a chance to see all of the various dishes being prepared and the bartender is generally able to describe and talk about the various dishes as they come out.

An old favorite -- we first went out to the Tuscan with my father many years ago. Quite good, although it's been supplanted by Campagnia as the best Italian in Waltham...

Our favorite restaurant is still Stellina in Watertown Square...
