Gloves

Where does one buy long gloves these days? Anywhere other than a bridal shop? I just ran headlong into a very polite social expectation that "well, if your gown has short sleeves, wear long gloves, but short gloves are OK if your gown has long sleeves." Eeek. I might have a pair of opera-length gloves in my Nana's things. Or not.

(Followup: Silly me, why didn't I think to just plug in Operagloves.com !)

Hm.. I got some stretchy black satin ones at Hubba Hubba that come up past my elbow. :)

There are sources online as well, but I don't recall them off the top of my head.

Better department stores frequently have them.

The Fabric Place has many sizes and materials of gloves (atleast the one in Woburn does) and usually black and white - easy to dye, and sometimes a few other colors. I don't know if Jo Anne's does or not, you could call them.

I know I have black satin ones, if you want to borrow them, and I think I have a pair of white ones hiding somewhere....

I tend to find them at Esoteric Clothing Stores - Oona's in Harvard Square would probably sell them, and anyplace catering to the goth/freak/weirdo crowd, which means you should probably check at Hot Topic....
