We should start in on The Great Dresser Shift on Thursday. If you have time tonight, you might clean out the garb dresser in preparation for that.

Assumption check: I was figuring that the new dresser goes in the location of the one that's getting moved downstairs, so that the matching ones flank the one that doesn't match. And that the TV will go on top of the new dresser in the corner. Correct?

Correct about the dresser arrangement. Moreover having the EA dresser in the storeroom means that we could eventually move the desk hutch down there
(same width). I do want to put a cloth or pad under the tv to keep it from scratching the mahogany.

But I can't really work on it til late-ish Thursday, because I'm on an Investigating Committee for an OES applicant (mtg 7:30). I'll see if I can pick at the problem a little tonight.

Oh, and paying the funeral bill is clearly my problem -- I'm the one with the cash on hand...
