Mousie

The Toyota dealership just called. In the course of my scheduled maintenance, they found a mouse nest in the blower. Wanted to know if I wanted them to clean it out and re-lube the mechanism. Um, yes, please?

Hmmm. Is "duh" the right answer?

Well, since there would be an extra fee, it was polite of them to ask :)

Or perhaps they were afraid it was a pet.

At the risk of being whacked with something ...

.... you haven't noticed any, um, unidentified *squeaking* coming from your engine, have you?

*ducks and runs away*

... and perhaps some problems with tailgating?

Or maybe they thought you may just want the occasional mouse flying into the passenger compartment when you turn on the AC. Great ice-breaker and conversation starter!

Cleans up any french fries dropped on the floor, too.

Dani once went for an oil change a couple weeks after Pennsic. They brought out a filter with a mouse nest in it (no actual mouse at the time) and said "we assume you'd like us to replace this?".

"Gee, lady, no wundah the cah's low on powah -- you ain't fed the mouse in *weeks*! How's it supposed ta generate powah on no food?"

I can't remember if I ever told you this one... When we had two cars for a while (after having purchased the Subaru), the old Escort wasn't driven very often. Over time, the gear shift was getting harder and harder to move and then one day it finally just got stuck and we couldn't get the car into gear.

It turned out that a local squirrel had been storing acorns in the shift mechanism.
