Thundersnow!

It's bad out there. The cars are backed up past our office out front from the light at the end of the street. Our facility manager, Ed, phoned back half an hour after saying we were all free to leave, to tell us he still hadn't gotten onto 128, and recommending that anyone who had not left should not try. Paul took 40 minutes to go around the block to D'Angelo's. He could have walked there faster by cutting along the train tracks.

I'm going to stay here til at least 4, maybe 5, and putter around (and shop the web). I do hope they cancel/postpone Wilma's wake - I know it's folly to try to go, but if they hold it I will give it a shot.

The snow should be ending in the next few hours, so I expect things to be pretty well plowed out. I recommend leaving some extra time, but it shouldn't be terrible...

I'm thinking 11 is probably a reasonable time to leave this area. Does that sound so to you?

That's the official plan, actually. (If you haven't gotten [livejournal.com profile] ladysprite's mail yet, the plan is currently to rendezvous at 10, have breakfast, and leave at 11 sharp...)

Yes, I got the memo, but not until after I wrote the previous posting.
