Free furniture

Not available yet! but soon.

Double bed frame, matching small dresser with mirror, matching vanity table with mirror (frame needs wood glue), bench for vanity if I can find it.
Twin size mattress and box spring and metal frame with casters
Twin maple headboard
Small bookcase which used to have a drop-leaf front
Some odd size CD racks, wood and plastic, various sizes
A two-drawer small file cabinet (without nifty rolling bearings for drawers)
A card table with one bent leg (still bears weight, but hard to fold)
A set of wooden shelves (3) for hanging on a wall
A cat-clawed couch (you'd want a slipcover)
A grey formica kitchen table (I know where the top is, I think I can find the legs)

Probably also:
Some frying pans, a Weber charcoal kettle grill in dubious condition, two Smith-Corona typewriters, two tires suitable for pell parts, other oddments (maybe one of the LP turntables)

Delivery is NOT available :) I'll help you load it, but I won't bring it to your home.

Smith-Corona typewriters! Hang on to them, they are about five years from being museum pieces. Is it still possible to by ribbons? Better stock up if you can.

I'd be interested in the twin sized bed things!

And definatly the typewriters.

OK, they'll be yours. We'll make a plan to get them from my storage unit to your place in the next few weeks. (Typewriters too, but they're easier to transport.)

YAY! Thank you!

Grill: might be interested

is the grill structurally sound? If it's just rusty, that would not be a problem for us.

We'll take a look. It looks all right when I glance out the window; I'll go open it and see.

I'm probably interested in the bed frame, dresser and table. How small is small? I desperately need a dresser for this room, and my current bed frame is ok but tends to roll away on me.

The dresser has 3 or four drawers, and measures roughly 40 wide by 34 high. The mirror screws onto the top at the back, and can be left off if you wish.
The double bed frame breaks down into headboard, footboard, rails and slats, for flat transport.

Oooh, footboards. Fancy.

The dresser sounds big enough for what I need, at least for now. It's certainly much better than no dresser!

I need to figure out transport because furniture doesn't tend to work with my car. I miss having a hatchback. Liam had offered use of his truck at some point, when I was looking at another dresser. As far as timeline I can't even think about it until my event is over, although that's soon.

That's OK - you can't have the bedframe til Sunday anyway (it's currently the one we're using). The dresser will be "soon" but may not be this weekend. We'll work it out, you only live a mile and a half from us.
