Perfectly reasonable

I don't think it's at all unreasonable to expect that my office trash should have been emptied some time between last Thursday and today. I had filled two wastebaskets to the brim, and was contemplating hunting up a third from an empty office. But I had to get grief from the guy who's supposed to have been covering for our janitor, and had the nerve to ask me why I didn't just take them down to the dumpster myself, "Oh, you won't do it because you went to Wellesley?" Fine, you want to consider me a snob, or a wimpy girlie, go right ahead. Just empty the trash before the mice get into the remains of last Friday's sandwich.

What Anton said. I've had the same experience, once bitten twice shy. Besides, I have yest to see a librarian's job description that calls for trash collection as a duty.
