I just got flowers! I love flowers.

They were sent to me by my employer. For Administrative Professionals Day, which was Wednesday. Since I am apparently still a secretary, Master's degree notwithstanding.

I don't know whether to be delighted or annoyed. I think I'll settle on delighted, and to heck with them.

I've never understood either, and I've been a secretary, as was my mother before me.

I've never seen an office that wasn't run by the secretaries.

Yaas. My mother has been head secretary to the legal department at ETS for many years, and it's pretty clear to me that the entire company would have long ago collapsed without her...
