Books read, 2005
About time I started this, isn't it?
1. and 2. Books read for work. One of them so huge it ought to count for two on my numbered list, but a good read.
3. Kris Longknife: Deserter. Second in the new series by Mike Shepherd. More women Space Marines.
Books not finished:
The Eyre Affair (abandoned. wasn't holding my interest).
Tooth and Claw, by
papersky - still in progress. 2004 World Fantasy winner for Novel.
Code of Conduct, by Kristine Smith (Our protagonist is an interesting amalgam of Detective, Space Marine, Spy, Diplomat, and Librarian. I'm very interested to see where she goes. Clear influences include Elizabeth Moon, Ian Fleming, Sara Paretsky.)

Oh, thank you for saying that! So many of my friends rhapsodized about the book, I thought maybe there was something wrong with me for thinking it was really just not that great....
