Augmentation

Blush. People are saying the nicest things about my work :) I love it, but it's embarrassing.

So what shall I use to augment my arms? The Crown did not specify, so I believe I get to choose and submit the modification myself. (Hm, probably get to pay for it myself too.)

Not doing this with a poll, just opening discussion. I could have what I think of as the default thing, a (metal) canton charged with a blue tyger passant, the badge of the people of the East. This tyger could be plain, or he could be bearing something - a shepherd's crook, since I am Shepherd's Crook Herald? or some totem of Thorvald and Svava who gave me the right to augment?

Someone on the East list suggested I charge the canton with Hebrew letters, but given my arms (see icon) I think that's not a good idea.

What else am I missing that I might like better?

augmentation.

I think it should be clear by looking at it, that it is an augmentation. Is there some standard or tradition about these things?

I like the canton with a tyger. Anything more is going to get hard to paint or recognize. Would a tyger in canton (i.e. fieldless) work?

Congratulations!

A charged canton is the most common approach for an augmentation, although I gather that a charged escutcheon in the middle is also considered normal...
