Get the house clean/tidy enough to entertain small groups of friends as we used to do.

This used to be a goal of mine, but these days I've realized that provided you can see the floors and all the really personal things are pushed far out of site, your real friends don't quite care how clean/tidy/messy/dirty your house is.

Yeah, but I'm still burning inside from the (ex-)friend who let the word get passed back to me (intentionally as far as I could tell) that she would never visit me again because my house was so dirty.
