22. Making Book, by Teresa Nielsen Hayden.
I really enjoy the way TNH uses language. It's literate, funny, and makes rich images in my mind. Enjoyed all the pieces in this book except "Over Rough Terrain," which presumed the reader knows a lot of historical Big Name Fans, which I don't. (The bits about people I do recognize, like Elliott Shorter, I liked.)

Heh, I seem to be catching up on my Fifty Books. I should be at about 29-30 by now to make 50 by the end of the year.

Do you read her blog? The comments come from a variety of well-known authors, and discussions are frequently fascinating...

"On Copyediting" highly recommended. But Tor's style bits are different :)
