15. The Buried Pyramid, by Jane Lindskold

Fine old-fashioned Egyptian archaeological adventure. A party of English tourists who think themselves scholars seek out a sacred tomb. I think the female protagonist, Jenny, was given too many convenient skills, but she was appealing anyway, and Lindskold didn't feel compelled to throw in a gratuitous romance for her.

Ooohh! Not looking good. Only fifteen at the halfway point? You should have 25 if you're going to hit 50 by year's end. Start hitting the books! :D

Why does no one ever seek out profane tombs?

Because profane tombs aren't full of treasure?

How does it compare to "The Falling Woman"? (I loved that book.)
