Scatterbrained

My brain is scattered, here there and everywhere. I feel that if only I could focus on one thing for long enough, I'd have it under control.
Midsummer Night's Dream auditions
The company holiday party (potluck in the cafeteria). I'm glad they're not doing something fussy and expensive, given that they keep telling us what tight straits we're in.
Trying to finish the great computerized catalog project, so I can start on the great library inventory project.
Justin's company holiday party
The imminent departure of K.R., the big cheese at my company. The presidency will revert to D.J., the founder and original president.
The outstanding purchase requests and renewal requests that have gotten ahead of me again.
Holiday shopping
Christmas cards? What about writing to my long-estranged friends from high school and college?
Vacation much on the brain, starts 12/20 and couldn't possibly start soon enough. Want to stay home and read and play computer games and inaugurate the new e-polling system.
Brushing up my resume, just in case. Things do not feel stable here, maybe it's just me, maybe it's a side effect of K.R. leaving. He always was one for big dreams and grandiose plans.
Housecleaning. Always. Inevitable, like taxes.
Gym. Haven't been to the gym in a week and a half, want to go tonight.
This dratted cold. It's moving Sloooooowwwwwwllly down into my chest. If it weren't moving at all I'd be truly worried that it was serious - as is, it's doggone annoying. I've had the thing for nearly a week.
Why does it only occur to me to post to LJ when I'm irritable or depressed, not when I'm perky and energetic? It does give a skewed picture.

Date: 2002-12-10 03:21 pm (UTC)Holiday party. Right, I have a holiday party. Hopefully, if you keep reminding me, I won't come home Friday evening and get entirely side-swiped by that. (Okay, scheduling is not my strong suit.)
The imminent departure of K.R., the big cheese at my company.
Hadn't realized he was leaving. Any scuttlebutt on why?
This dratted cold.
*hug*. Take care of yourself...

Date: 2002-12-11 08:58 am (UTC)If it makes you feel better, I've been so busy with my final paper for the semester that my house has not gotten cleaned in weeks. (It does make one wonder. Eric is out of work and home all day. Surely he could scrub the bathroom once.)
