Actually turned in 6/15 but I'm behind on LJ again.

Edit: To those of you (below) who've asked -- it's an anthology of Godwin stories, the centerpiece of which is the tragic story you're thinking of.

I know a "The Cold Equations" which is a short story. Is this that?

That's the title of a classic SF short story. Pretty grim.

Let me see if I can ask without revealing spoilers: stowaway on a spacecraft? If so, thanks -- I've heard of the story but didn't have an author and didn't know where it was anthologized. I'd like to read it.
