Reunion

My 20th college reunion is coming up this June. Luckily, my particular friends from my class seem to be coming to it, so I won't be wandering around alone on the fringes.

Trying to get four of us to agree on as simple a matter as "shall we go out to dinner on Friday or on Saturday?" is, alas, turning into a multi-day multi-email epic. Sheesh.

I wonder if any of the others are foodies too? Would they appreciate it (and be amenable to Dutch Treat) if we were to go to Blue Ginger? Or are we on a budget, collectively, so as not to make anyone uncomfortable? Is B a vegetarian these days (probably)?

It strikes me that, having fallen so much out of touch in the last few years, I know relatively little about them any more. C is apparently teaching school in Illinois - her email address is a K12. M and her husband had a baby - wonder if they've had another while I wasn't paying attention? M and B are still working in high tech in NJ (Isn't Googling useful?), and B and her s.o. are raising heirloom breeds of sheep.

But I don't know anything, anymore, about what they're *like.* Am I the only one who's put on weight? Do they still like science fiction and SF television? Are their marriages happy? What do they do for fun, apart from B's sheep project?
Well, this is what reunion's all about, besides reinforcing our rosy fondne$$ for our alma mater, it's for catching up with old friends.

I'm waffling as to whether to go to mine - I'm still in touch with most of my friends from college, and I have no idea if the few of us in my class who made it all the way to graduation are going.

It's just a five year, but it's comforting to know that you'll be on campus the same years I will be for the foreseeable future. :)

I plan to go to my 20th, in 3 yrs. That should be enough time to lose this weight. ;)
