Gakked from various friends ([livejournal.com profile] browngirl, [livejournal.com profile] johno, [livejournal.com profile] the_nita). Not that I couldn't find it again through their journals, but I want it here where I can find it easily.

Now I'm thinking about whether it's worth finicking it into a flash anim, with the songs playing in the background and the cartoons going by. Sort of a version of "Silent Night/Seven O'Clock News" for the current generation.

If only I had a Flash composer, And The Band Played, and the spare time...

Good idea...

Good idea. If I could get recordings of the music, I could produce it as a video...if I had the time.

I've got recordings of both songs (as done by the group Clam Chowder out of Baltimore). Might not be hard to get permission to use them for something like this.

I have the CD for No Man's Land; and I keep meaning to pick up The Eric Bogle Songbook Volume I, which has And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda on it...perhaps this'll be an impetus.

Silly me, I actually have 2 versions of No Man's Land, one by Bogle himself, and one by Peter, Paul, & Mary...
