Coronation

Coronation was a good event. For a change, the halls were big enough, and there was other stuff going on during the day. They didn't put lunch out til after Last Court was over, so everybody got some (though the line was half an hour long!).
I want the recipe for the "honey cheese pie" in phyllo dough. What was that? It was yummy.
I got to play a little part in the Coronation ceremony, which makes me happy. I was one of the four heralds sent to "the four corners of the world" (well, the four corners of the great hall) to proclaim the coronation of Gaufred Kelson and Genviere.
I had time to eat lunch, go to the Pelican vigil for Katherine Barr the kingdom seneschal (better her than me, as it turned out), browse and taste the A&S contest, and wander out to the list in time to hear the winners announced. Plus random visiting with friends I see only at big Royal events. Everything I meant to do except making my fealty to Kelson & Genviere, which I will have to do next time I see them.
We skipped the feast, which meant we missed the mumming which was between courses, in favor of going out for yummy Chinese and sweet pink drinks. Sea Bass & Scallops in Black Pepper Sauce, oh yes.
