So how did we get from "nice this week til Thursday" to "Winter Storm Warning" in the space of a single workday?

I was seeing Winter Storm Warnings yesterday, though not for the potential of 10" of snow...!

New England.

Ain't it grand? At least, with fresh new snow, I don't have to be on stop-the-kids-from-eating-dirty-snow patrol when we go outside.

I'll believe it when I see it, though. Sometimes I think even the national weather service inflates its estimates for shock value. Sure, you can't trust the broadcast weather folks, but you'd think the NWS, with no viewer ratings to court, wouldn't do that.

How? I'll tell you how. It's because I don't have a roof, that's how.

And no wall on one side of my house -- and I mean NO WALL. It's held together with plywood and tarp.

It's friggin' cold already, and it hasn't started snowing yet.

It's all my fault that it's going to snow.

Sorry, took the cover of my motorcycle and folded it neatly. Should have known better.

SNOW DAY! That thought keeps going through my head...
