We took advantage of having a large rented vehicle, and the sales-tax holiday, to make an IKEA run after lunch. Borderline folly - we are both barely vertical from fatigue from load-out and driving straight thru yesterday. But we have five new bookcases, which are replacements for ones we bought before or shortly after our wedding, which are self-destructing from age and overloading.

I can't help the sales tax holiday timing, but I always have a van...

{smile} There will need to be another trip to IKEA in a few weeks when the hordes have not left them out of stock, for one more case and a couple extra shelves.

We LIKE IKEA. :-)

September is a bit of a crowded month - but let's do what we can.

Labor Day weekend is not bad (but we'll have Anna), the following weekend I am out of town and need the van, the next weekend is the Jewish High Holiday on Saturday (but Sunday is empty so far: I'll have Anna, though). The final weekend of the month I'll be out of town again, but won't need the van until I return.

I'm planning on buying some bed slats from them in October, assuming Mindways and I are still going, "Yes, yes, more Pennsic yes." :)

I wasn't going anywhere but home today, though.

Tax holiday?

About once a year, the Governor of Massachusetts declares a weekend without sales tax. Usually it's in August, to help jump-start back to school purchasing. So we saved six percent just by shopping on Sunday, for something we were going to buy anyway.
