Spring returns, and the mamma robin returns to her nest in our carport. I get a dirty look and she flies out every time I use the back door. If everything goes on time like the last few years, there will be baby birds around Memorial Day, and by mid-June, the nest will look unused for another 11 months.

It's not just me! I've been saying the mother robins are capable of nasty looks.

We have a pair that have nested in the holly bush next to our front door for the past three years. The eggs hatched over the weekend. You can see into the nest by leaning out over the railing of the front porch a little. Right now the babies are just a heap of fuzzy pink & grey stuff and we can't tell how many there are. In a couple of days they shoujld be more distinct. And yes, Mamma Robin gives us filthy looks whenever we go in and out the front door.
