Why am I awake? Can't I even get *sleeping* right?

No, you're just doing an extra-good job at being awake.

When one is upset, intrusive thoughts race unbidden into the brain, and you can't sleep.

Frankly it is a vicious cycle.

You were not alone in your wakefulness, alas.

I remember when sleep was easy. Barely. What's worse is that if you talk to half a dozen people who are having trouble with sleep, it will manifest in six different ways, if not more. I'm currently having two separate issues that make sleep not work the way I'd like.
