Dental woes

$1K max benefit per year is not much, when a root canal is a coupla hundred bucks and the crown afterward $1400. I've again maxed out for the year - the receptionist advised me to specify I don't want x-rays or a dentist's exam when I come in for my next cleaning, since anything that happens that day is out-of-pocket.

Oy. Mine maxes out at $2500, and that covers my two cleanings, and my yearly root canal/crown (paying for the sins of my youth, one huge filled tooth at a time.) Just.

I keep telling my co-workers that our coverage rocks, but all they see is how much better it used to be in the good old days...
