What I could do if I were to lose my job:
Finish checking the EK name registrations & updating the OP.
Spend a couple days at the NEHGS doing genealogical research.
Port my genealogical data to a new package and repair the citations.
Gardening.
Ride my bike every day.
Catch up on thank you notes.
Thoroughly calculate my '08 medical expenses for tax deduction purposes.
Replicate Justin's Genuine Maguire^tm linen garb pants. (x2)
Alter various garb items.
Tidy the garage.
Organize my iPod playlists.
Paint (stain) the deck.
Unpack the last few boxes of "misc SCA papers" from our move.
Weed my parents' photos and correspondence.
Learn next year's ritual.

Yah, that gives me stuff to get interested in, if things really do go 'splodey here. I do hope if they decide to do something drastic organizationally, probably involving consolidating the facilities, that I get to supervise the library consolidation/closing.

Wow, that good, huh? Still, always good to have a to-do list prepared!

I am overhead. And I am not located in the same building as my boss or uberboss. This makes me vulnerable.

I'm sorry to hear things are so precarious. At least you have an excellent to-do list.

I got a lot of stuff done when I was unemployed. It's a nice silver lining.

Hopefully you'll get to put off most of the list for a long time. (((((HUGS)))

My father told to never retire. He did and he's bored most days. I can't conceive the term. While getting my Master's Degree, I compiled a list of "99 Things to do after Graduation" They included projects ranging from a weekend to years. It wasn't 99 items at the time, maybe 75. It's now over 150 and that doesn't include the BTDT crossouts!
