That's really funny. Both the Can-Am Exchange (Eastern Star) and the Tourney of Love (SCA) are in Bangor tomorrow. I'm blowing off both, and bottling the cranberry mead instead.

Good for you. I will be at Tourney of Love. You'll be missed, but everyone deserves a weekend off.

My home town! Well, almost: Orono is a few miles up the road.

I hope you enjoy bottling!

No Boskone? Ah, well. Enjoy the bottling!

The last time I tried to go to Boskone (which was Boat Show Week then too) I couldn't find parking less than half a mile away. And for a daytrip, when I hadn't bought an advance membership, it wasn't worth the trouble.
This year I've got a "why should I care?" thing going on. Want to try to convince me?

It's up against the boat show again this weekend, so I suspect there's no point in trying to convince you. The Waltham carpool is leaving butt-early on Saturday in the hopes of actually getting parking in the hotel garage. We're all hoping that the crap economy will mean less boat show-attendees and thus, more parking. But if there weren't the parking crunch, I'd point out that Mike McAfee and I are both part of an improv sketch at 8:30 on Saturday.

Cranberry mead?

That sounds delicious.

Thanks! This batch of Cranberry Melomel won't be as fizzy as the last, because I'm late bottling it, but I think it'll still be good.
