Pride goeth before a fall

This morning I was proud of myself for having my clothes and jewelry ready for the holiday party tonight, my grab bag gift purchased and wrapped, the bills to be paid in my handbag, and my lunch made.

This afternoon I discovered that I had been asked, on Friday (!), to send some emails on behalf of the Crown and hadn't even noticed since I hadn't checked that account.

They're sent now, but boy is my face red.

It is a very, very good thing that this set of royals is forgiving of ADD and distraction and real life. Otherwise, I would be out of a job by now. :-P
