I thought they rescinded the offer due to it somehow being interpreted as illegal?

You can't technically offer incentives to vote or not vote. So they're just giving coffee to anyone who asks or says they voted - same with Ben and Jerrys and the donut giveaways.

I went in and said "a Tall Free Coffee with Room please," and they gave it to me. I am wearing an "I voted" sticker, but according to the barista only Burlington residents got the stickers locally, so they are just trusting you if you say you voted.
