Friday game

I am a meme sheep. And it's a quiet Friday in the office.

As seen in [livejournal.com profile] gyzki and [livejournal.com profile] marysdress's journals:

If they were making a movie about me, who would you recommend they cast as Jane/Caitlin/[livejournal.com profile] msmemory?

Sigourny Weaver. But I can't tell you why...

Helena Bonham Carter? For the face shape and the ability to project that intelligent stillness of comments politely unsaid.

Billy Burke. Not so much Wizard of Oz, but from a lot of roles before then.

My first reaction was "huh??"

But I guess I can see it: http://us.imdb.com/media/rm882481152/nm0000992

I was thinking mostly of the Topper movies.

Imelda Staunton (if you grabbed her by the head and stretched her up a little taller and narrower).

Also, I think you would look good in this dress.

I had to go look up who she is, not recognizing her from the picture. (Though I agree, that gown would look all right on me - and do things for my figure that only a red-carpet dress can be made to do!)

(TAN: I had no idea they had made a tv-movie of "My Family and Other Animals." I may have to see where I can get ahold of it.)

Perhaps Mary Steenbergen or Cher.

Katherine Hepburn.

Blame Vis - I've gone retro. Myrna Loy, especially in the Thin Man movies.

Myrna Loy was my very close second choice - particularly from the Thin Man movies.

Marcia Gay Harden. Definitely. I was thinking of her for Alethea in a comment in Liam's journal, but she's a better fit for you (and is awesome!) There's another person I'm thinking of, but the name is not coming to mind. Oh! It's Mare Winningham.
