It's rather strange, working in a building where there are only five women. There really isn't much chance to observe and imitate fashion. I find I more-consciously check out other women at the mall to see whether wild prints are in, or boot-cut jeans, or whether preppy is back. Not that I dress particularly fashionably - I'm sort of in a wooly sweater and slacks rut - but I like to know what I'm missing.

Sometimes I just want to whap certain coworkers on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper.

I got email from somebody after I had left for the day on the Friday before Christmas, who wrote again today to up her demand "from my email of two weeks ago." Ten days, honeybun, of which I was out of the office all except today. Which means as far as I'm concerned that email arrived *yesterday.*

And your idea sucks, but I am planning on bringing heavier guns than "I don't want to" to bear on your little greedy notion of moving all the structural materials books out of the library and into your department's bookcase.
