Gardening plans
Having spring fever pretty bad, I stopped in at the garden center on my lunch hour. I had no idea I was going to have to make so many decisions about my garden plans for this summer. My plan had been to lay gravel over landscaping cloth to make a path in the middle of the fenced garden, from the gate to the existing brick-edged circle in the middle, and put a birdbath or some kind of semi-medieval statue in the center of the circle, surrounded by annuals such as impatiens or pansies.
Gravel comes in colors and textures - and flagstones are also an option. Birdbaths come in sizes and colors, as well as various pedestal designs. Even the flowers come in assorted colors.
Then there are the roses. I'm going to take another stab at roses, presuming that we won't have another year of watering bans. The earliest of the rosebushes are already in, but not the ones I'm waiting for. I suppose I could order them by mail - or wait til the David Austins come in to the store.
