I can't afford to be sick right now. I need to get Mother's Christmas presents (family Christmas is planned for this coming Sunday -- pray for ick, so then we'll have to reschedule!). And I need to clean the house, but if this cold progresses into my nose, just leaning over to pick stuff up is going to be unpleasant. Waaah!

But you can't get sick right now. Return of the King is opening! Oh, yes, and there're the holidys and stuff, too.

I hope you got a really good night's sleep, and are doing better now. If not, is there any chance you can tell the family members that you've got the flu and that they should stay away for their own sakes? Perhaps a few pitiful cries of "Unclean! Unclean!" would help set the mood.
