Lost & found

MUST clean the bedroom. I discovered a brand-new still-in-plastic-bag pair of jeans today, but utterly failed to find either of my purple turtlenecks. Gah! Maybe I'll try the drastic method of taking everything out of the room that doesn't belong there (out of season clothes, fanzines, toolbox, cleaning supplies, luggage, the charity donation bag, gift wrap...) and throwing it all in the spare room. FlyLady would NOT approve!

One year in my overly-opinionated teens, I cleaned my bedroom by packing all my possessions in boxes as if for a move, cleaning, then unpacking back into the space. I did this over Christmas-New Years and wouldn't let any new stuff in until the old stuff was back. It was a lot of work and I only ever did it the once. Of course, my family moved every couple of years in the summer so my clutter got boxed regularly. We had quite a discussion once about moving my bottle collection.
