We did not observe the Tax Holiday by making any significant purchases. Nyah. The large HD TV remains a "someday" item.

We got ours on Black Friday last year, for about 1/3 what it should have cost. (And it's a top-notch Sony, not a fly-by-night brand.) If you can wait, I think that large ticket items at Christmas will be HEAVILY marked down this year.

Us, neither. [livejournal.com profile] metageek has slightly reluctantly agreed that we'll get a largish HDTV when the current largeish CRT TV dies. Or we become millionaires.

I was in NJ for our tax holiday. Ooops. And I bought about $100 of clothing while I was there, too. (Necessary clothing, but still!)

The large HD Tv was cheaper buying it through Amazon.com than from any local store.
