(no subject)

I had time to kill because the hotel didn't have my room ready when I arrived, so I went to the shopping zone. My OES-dar began to go off, ding! ding! ding! which I attributed to a recent overdose of the organization. "Self," I said, "You're starting to see an OES member in every 60-year-old white woman you see in the department store."

Then I got up closer behind one particular gaggle - who turned out to be wearing matching sweatshirts with the logo of the Montana Daughters of the Nile.

Oh. :)

[For the rest of you - Daughters of the Nile is a different Masonic-related organization for women. Most (all?) Nile members are also/previously Eastern Star members.]

Hah! One of these days, just for sport, we really need to go to a random city on vacation and just spend an hour or two people-watching, and trying to identify which avocations these people participate in...
