Where was my earth-shattering kaboom? That ginormous squall line on the map seems to have been nothing more than some strong winds and a sprinkle.

I dunno about earth-shattering, but we got some thunder and lightning. It was brief, and off in the distance, but it knocked off our power for long enough that I was running around the house at 12:30am restarting the servers, resetting the clocks, circuit breakers, and the like.

My CPAP machine turned off in the outage, so I deflated much like one of those bouncy-castles after the generator/compressor is disconnected.

Yeah, mine went boom a few times and apparently beat the crap out of every neighborhood in my area but mine, and a lot of schools in my town are closed today because of power outages. I feel cheated.

Nice booms at out place, and Editrx says there was one house-shaking kaboom. Does that count? We also got some nice rain, and today is a lot better than yesterday's 101 degrees.

I felt cheated. I unplugged my computer and my DSL and all we got was a very gusty wind that blew my empty garbage can around. I ran out and grabbed it and a couple of things off the front porch and shoved them in the house. I left the back yard to fend for itself and nothing back there appears to have blown around at all. Weird.
