Is it enough food? (Yep, I've reached the "they're all going to starve to death and blame me!" stage.)

For lunch, per person: a small bowl of onion soup, a chicken drumstick, half a dozen meatballs, a hard-boiled egg, 1/6 of a loaf of bread with butter, a small slice of mushroom tart, fruit sections equivalent to about a piece of fruit, some raw veggies, some pickles and olives and marinated mushrooms, a date-nut ball or two, a cup of cider, all the water or lemonade you want.

If "no," suggest additions

Oh right, plus sauces for the chicken/meatballs, and Constance's fresh cheese.

Granted, I'm not a fighter; but it's more than I could eat.

Well, more than I could eat comfortably, at least. I'm known to be stubborn about being a member of the Clean Plate Club when there's feast food around...

What kind of event? If a fighting or fencing event, the fighters might or might not want more, though if it's just a day event and this is the dayboard menu, you're probably safe. If this is a calligraphers' event, however, you're going to stuff them to the gills. :)

It's a day event, and this is the dayboard menu. We have rented the site only til 7:00 pm, so it's assumed everyone will disperse to various restaurants and postrevels after Court.

Sounds lovely, then! (I love onion soup. That is, eating it. Making it and cutting all those onions is a pain, though.)

BTW, it sounds like a lovely menu, particularly the mushroom tart. I've always been partial to a mushroom tart.

I think it sounds really good. Plus it is good to the vegitarians. It gives warm and cold options to the veggies, *and* protien.

(I can't say how dissapointing I find it when you get "yes there's vegitarian food" - and it's one cold tart and bread. Yay for cheese and yay for warm soup and yay for a random assortment of veggies!)

Sounds like plenty to me for a non-fighting event -- and more than I'm used to being able to eat as a quasi-vegetarian. (Quasi: not really a vegetarian, but I play one when eating out for kashrut reasons.)

It is a fencing event, so some people will be physically active. But also a royal progress, so some folks are coming only for Court. But I have only $2.50 a head for food and drink.
Dither, dither.

(Well, it sure beats the "one apple, three cubes of cheddar, and a French roll" that used to be dayboard Back In The Old Days.)

For that matter, it sure beats the most recent Crown, or "A sliver of chicken, 3 cubes of ham, and a slice of bread" for an event with just a bit of physical activity.

They're all going to starve!

...and it will be your fault.

Unless you change that to a *large* slice of mushroom tart per person. Then we won't starve.

Helpfully,

-Fu

You're fine. Really. This is up in the 80th percentile or so of dayboards when it comes to both quantity and variety. If this was dinner I might say otherwise, but it should be fine for lunch...
