What is the freezing temperature of apple cider? (No, surprisingly enough, I'm *not* trying for the obvious side-effect, I'm trying to find a way to store cider for the feast overnight when my fridge is already going to be full of chicken and garlic sauce and whatnot.)

I think around 28-30 F. But that's an educated guess, and only applies, as you say, to soft cider. This could be empirically tested, if important. I guess I'm perlext what problem you're trying to solve: trying to get it frozen, or trying to find a way to chill it without letting it freeze?

Trying to chill it (or actually, keep it chilled) but not freeze it, if I buy it on Friday for Saturday's event. Given that I cannot fit 15-20 gal of cider, more or less, into my fridge - I'm wondering how it would work to either stack the cases on my porch, or stash them in my car.
If I can find a way around the cider chilling problem, then I won't have to find time to go to Costco en route to the event.

I would be very surprized if a gallon jug of cider were to freeze solid over a single night at >20degF. The low is not expected to be so low. Leaving them out should be fine.

However the failure mode is for the jug to rupture, so for ultimate safety you might want to park them in a basement. If you have a cellar door, the hatch kind, between basement and outside, those can be ideal places to stow such things; putting them at the top of the stairs will keep them at ground level so you don't have to schlep them up and down stairs, but probably keep them firmly above freezing.
