Meh. I don't want to be here. I especially don't want to be spending my days sifting through the debris left by departed employees, trying to decide what's worth saving. It's ghoulish, and I feel bewildered about what, if any of it, someone will ever need to find again. Yet, I don't want to delegate the task to someone who hasn't been here as long as I, or who blithely discards everything.

At least there are good parts: interesting research questions from time to time, and being able to help people out by getting them what they need to do their jobs, whether information, pencils, or new cubicles.

I have hundreds of electronic files in Sharepoint left by departed employees that I need to sift through in order to get rid of the obsolete folders. It's icky, so I do it by bits and pieces.

But at least I'm careful and meticulous - others might not be. I ask myself who else I would trust to do it... and then go back to do some more.

*Hug*. I will admit that one of the motives behind the CommYou project is to get to the point, in a year or two, where it can completely support us...
