Understudy

When I agreed to a term as Associate Matron of my Eastern Star chapter (that would be essentially Vice President) I knew there was a real possibility that the Worthy Matron would need to blow off a meeting or two and I'd have to preside. She and her husband are Older and have had medical troubles. Her husband died this morning. So I will be running the meeting on Tuesday. Luckily, all the plans are in place for this sort of thing: I have building keys, someone else has written the text for the memorial, and someone already was planning on supplying refreshments and program after the business meeting.
