Oh my gosh. I do hope that you are not involved in the SCA in any way. I find your behavior to be....less than appropriate.
(Although I suppose that I should be wishing you'd come and play and learn a bit more.)
A more global comment: this kind of attitude (snarkiness?) is what I'd like to see leave the SCA altogether. I haven't seen any positive aspect of garb/persona snark. How do we, as a group, stop this? It's all fun and games to have a quiet "oh dear" moment to oneself as yet another cleavage pirate wench with fairy wings walks by, but it's another thing entirely to be creating an environment that is so unwelcoming.
Everyone enjoys a different aspect of playing. And our level of commitment changes as we go. I started the year of Pennsic XXX and I'm only just now becoming interested in researching a persona and specific garb.
This person isn't really in the SCA, but he does seem to be weirdly obsessed with people who are, stalking them thru LJ and trolling them. He seems to like kicking up a hornet's nest, so I strongly advise not taking the bait (and disallowing anonymous comments). He is in no way representative of the SCA or anyone in it, so please don't let it affect your own enthusiasm!
