Eyes all good. New prescription obtained, so I can replace the scratched up lenses in my present glasses. (Actually one eye is .25 *improved* this time out, so now both eyes match!) Bifocals still extremely optional - Dr. Smith said I could try them if I wanted, but she didn't think them necessary. Yet. Now I am just waiting out the blurriness and light sensitivity caused by the dilation eyedrops. Later this week, when I can see normally again, I'll go pick out a new pair of frames, or maybe two if they're on sale.

Good Job!

My appointments have been similar for a couple of years now - my distance vision and astigmatism have not changed, but I am wearing my 3rd pair of bifocals - mine are "no line" because I am too vain for anything else. When you finally get there, I recommend trying them at a place that will allow you to "exchange" them if they don't work for you.

I've talked to several people who have trouble wearing the lineless...

I also have separate reading glasses for close work - beading, sewing and the like.
