A gift certificate to my favorite clothing shop from my in-laws.
A doorknob-hanger "Shhh! Reading!" with a picture of Jane Austen, from my sister in law and her family.
And best of all, a Canon digital camera with many megapixels of resolution, small enough to fit in my shorts pocket. I love it! And it's easy enough to use straight out of the box, but has a lot of custom and customizable features to allow room for growth and experimentation. (And at 6,000 shots per 2 gig memory card, it doesn't matter if I want to get weird or shoot 10 frames of the same thing.)
