I was opening the drapes so the cats could watch the birdfeeder this morning, and talking to them (the cats) about snow. Noting that it was a snow sky, and the birds were making gluttons of themselves, I wondered aloud when we'd see the first flakes. Then I looked closer, and very tiny little flurries were coming past the windows.

I'm curious to see how our Koji is going to handle the snow. Winkles and Obi loved it, Riley would rather stay inside.

Ours seemed to be little flake-pellets, rather than crystals, but I was glad to see it anyway.

We woke this am to our first *real* snow of the season too. The leaves are still on the trees so the snow was able to accumulate and it looks beautiful. Sweetpea was fascinated by the snow flakes, crouching low on the wide kitchen windowsill and following them with her eyes. The cats were tiny last year and don't remember snow at all, so it is all new to them again.
