(Because it's Friday....)
What should I serve for Thanksgiving dinner, besides the turkey?

Checking more than one similar item means BOTH!

[Poll #1089791]

Edits: Yes, there will be PIE! Probably a couple of them. Maybe more than a couple. There will not be ham this year, because we have several guests who observe restrictions against pork. Tiellan, if you and Chia can get here, you're more than welcome. Anybody else on my flist who is feeling lonesome about Thanksgiving should drop me a note privately & we'll see about putting another leaf in the table.

Do you want us to bring anything (that should be interpreted as "I found my coooking interest again and want to bring something.")?

Sure! It's all about an abundance of food and an abundance of friends.

Anything in particular or....

Nevermind. I know what I'm bringing. It will even be bacon-less.

Sometimes I miss Thanksgiving. I have a Parents Evening next Thursday! :(

(We used to try to re-create it on the weekend, but for the past four or so years, we've been attending an SCA event in Belfast that weekend. Oh well! :)

I know (mmm, Grand Marnier). Originally the poll had both canned sauce and your homemade on it, but the canned stuff fell off when I was editing. I might still serve both, for sentimental reasons.

Wait, wait, wait...Grand Marnier? I think I need this recipe!

(Since I don't do sugar I always make my own cranberry sauce with Splenda. Don't think there would be any reason to avoid adding booze, huh? :)

I can make and bring green bean casserole if that's a winner.

Oh! I already have all the ingredients in hand except the beans. Sorry! (But yes, there will be Green Bean Casserole at Thanksgiving)

Let me know if there is something else you would like me to bring. Otherwise, I'll just bring me.

If you're interested in bringing rolls, or a tossed salad, either would be helpful. Otherwise, just bring your cheery self!
